XAVIER University will play host to the prestigious Jesuit Athletic Meet (JAM) which will open on November 27 at the XU gymnasium in Cagayan de Oro City.
“This is a very exciting meet kay dili lang basketball ang dulaon but other sporting events such as football and volleyball,” an XU insider said.
To be slated until November 30, the much-awaited JAM competition will be participated by athletes from all tertiary Ateneos from Davao, Zamboanga, Naga, Manila and host Cagayan de Oro.
Already, the XU Crusaders men’s basketball varsity team is selling t-shirts to raise funds for its preparation in JAM Meet as well as for future outreach projects.
“JAM is very interesting for the Crusaders kay kini nga event nadiskobre si John Paul Erram who’ s now a player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA),” said former XU coach Arvin Martinez. (LLS)
