‘Inside job’ seen in Bukidnon school burglary

POLICE arrested a school watchman for allegedly conspiring with a burglar who carted away nearly P1 million worth of computers from the computer room of Macapare National High School in Damulog, Bukidnon.

Arrested was Eddie Talib, 49, who was believed to have collaborated with the unidentified burglar.

One of the teachers reported to police that the school was ransacked and some 27 computers were missing on Monday, November 11.

Investigation showed that the suspect was seen carrying boxes containing computers and loaded it inside a multicab parked outside the school on Sunday.

The incident allegedly happened in the presence of the watchman.

Investigators said the incident is likely an inside job while appropriate charges against the watchman are being prepared.
