THE University of Cebu's (UC) standout foreign student-athlete Tosh Sesay has been given the green light by Cesafi commissioner Felix Tiukinhuy Jr. to compete in the semifinal round against the three-time champions University of the Visayas Green Lancers on Thursday, November 14.

This came after Tiukinhuy carefully evaluated UC's documents that backed Sesay's claim that he was injured and unable to participate in the Cesafi Slam-Dunk Competition last Sunday, November 10.

UC athletic director Jessica Honoridez told SunStar Cebu that Sesay was cleared by Tiukinhuy and the decision to heed the doctor's recommendation of three to five days rest for the big man from Sierra Leone was left entirely to the school.

Honoridez added that after consulting with UC's coaching staff, Sesay would indeed be playing on Thursday evening. (JNP)
