Hitman’s 6-year run from the law ends in Pitalo

AN ALLEGED hitman of a Southern Cebu politician was caught by operatives of the Cebu City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) at 3 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Sitio Kiwkiw, Barangay Pitalo in San Fernando.

Ryan Marikit Doncillo, who goes by the alias “Iti,” was caught by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder signed by Judge

Silvestre Maamo Jr. of RTC Branch 17. The 29-year-old Doncillo is a resident of Agimit, Barangay Adlaon in Cebu City.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Randy Korette, the chief of the CMFC, said Doncillo has been hiding from the law for six years.

The police first caught his brother Roger Doncillo on Nov. 3, but when the police traced the e-warrant, they found another under Ryan’s name.

They looked for the suspect in Barangay Adlaon and Lusaran and they were informed by the father that the suspect has settled in San Fernando.

The police got a tip from one of the residents that the suspect lives in Sitio Kiwkiw, Pitalo and they were able to arrest him.

Korette said the two brothers cultivate marijuana in the area and in 2012 when Felix Coca saw them planting marijuana, Ryan grabbed a firearm and killed Coca.

“They’re the ones who plant marijuana. In 2012, someone saw their plantation so (Ryan) killed him when he got a chance,” Korette said.

The residents were reportedly elated with the arrest of the two brothers since they were known as bullies in their area who would not hesitate to shoot anyone. The two were also reportedly used by a politician to harass the residents every time an election comes.

Ryan refused to talk when interviewed and said he will only answer the charge in the court. However, he admitted he was jailed before for killing someone in a vehicular accident. (AYB)
