BOARD Member Juvy Pepillo, Provincial Liga Ng Mga Barangay President, expressed support to the appointment of Vice President Leni Robredo as the new anti-drug czar in the country.
Pepillo said she expects to strengthen the war against drugs in the country under Robredo.
Robredo was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Illegal Drugs (Icad).
Pepillo also urges all punong barangays in the province to get the support of their respective constituents in the war against illegal drugs as she believes that it is a concerted effort of everyone in the community to solve the drug menace.
Pepilloalso encourages the barangays to attend anti-drug seminars and symposiums to keep their respective constituents aware of the ill effects of illegal drugs.
She also emphasized that the barangays should try to be declared drug cleared especially on the observance of Drug Abuse Prevention and Control month this November. (TDE)
