ADVOCATING for children’s rights and battling child abuse, Marylyn U. Raganas, 16, from Purok Quipasa, Poblacion, Mambajao, is named the Exemplary Pantawid Pamilya Child 2019 in Northern Mindanao during the regional search held on November in Cagayan de Oro City.

“Ayokong may mga kabataan ang masasaktan at maagrabyado dahil alam kong lahat tayo ay may mga pangarap sa buhay (I do not want any child be hurt or offended because I know everybody has dreams in life),” Raganas said.

Aimed to recognize the talents and skills of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) children beneficiaries, the Regional Search for Exemplary Pantawid Pamilya Child gathered the best child beneficiaries from the provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental.

The contestants were judged based on the testimonials of friends, teachers and local government unit leaders, talent, ability to answer questions, presentation and ability to advocate or promote the 4Ps.

The winner will be the regional representative to the National Search for Exemplary Pantawid Pamilya Child that will be held in Metro Manila.
