THE South Pacific Golf and Leisure Estates will hold a grand launching for its golf course on November 30.
South Pacific Davao Golf and Country Club officer-in-charge Jeren Fuentes, who guested with tournament coordinator Mariel Perono in the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at The Annex of SM City Davao yesterday, November 14, said the 18-hole golf course had its soft opening in 2018. Since then it had hosted several tournaments.
Perono, for her part, said an inaugural tournament is also set on November 30.
"The tournament will be System 36 and shot gun format competition with hole in one prizes at stake for winners," she said, adding that they expect some 140 golfers.
She added, "What makes South Pacific different from others is that it is an all-weather golf course. We also have our island green signature hole."
Their clubhouse could also cater to meetings and special events.
The golf course will also host the 2nd SB Golf Tournament on November 16 and UPLB Alumni Association Davao, Inc. 6th Loyalty Cup on November 24.
