TROPICAL Storm Ramon has slightly weakened but remained almost stationary Friday afternoon, November 15, 2019.

As of 4 p.m. Friday, the center of Ramon was located at 460 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, packing maximum winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in an advisory.

Pagasa said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) Number 1 remains hoisted over the eastern portion of Cagayan (Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Lal-lo, Gattaran, Baggao, and PeƱablanca), eastern portion of Isabela (Maconacon, Divilacan, Palanan, and Dinapigue), and northern Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan).

It said light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains may be experienced over these areas Saturday, November 16.

On Sunday, November 17, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains may be experienced over the eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela, and light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Apayao, Northern Aurora and the rest of Isabela and Cagayan.

Pagasa advised residents in the aforementioned areas, especially those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to flooding and rain-induced landslides, to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates.

It said gusty conditions may be experienced Friday, November 15, over northern Luzon, especially in coastal and mountainous areas due to the northeast monsoon enhanced by Ramon.

Sea travel is risky, especially for small sea crafts, over the seaboards of areas under TCWS, the seaboards of northern Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon due to prevailing or forecast rough sea conditions, it added.

Ramon is expected to be at 330 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora by Saturday afternoon, November 16. (LMY/SunStar Philippines)
