PDEA nabs target-listed drug personality

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) backed by policemen have arrested a target-listed personality of the agency in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, a top official announced.

PDEA regional director Edgardo Jubay identified the arrested target-listed drug personality as Sitti Aisa Arabi, 31, who was arrested in a drug bust around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in Kauswagan Village, Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte.

Jubay said seized from Arabi were some 15 grams of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P102,000, a motorcycle, a cellular phone, P500 marked money, and other personal belongings.

He said Arabi had been under surveillance by the agency before they launched the drug bust.

Jubay added that the suspect was detained while formal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is set to be filed against her. (SunStar Zamboanga)
