NegOcc procurement service depot inaugurated

THE new office of the Negros Occidental Procurement Service located along Cottage Road, Barangay 9, Bacolod City was inaugurated Friday, November 15.

Governor Bong Lacson, Board Member Tinto Bascon, Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz II, together with Ariel Cunanan of the Procurement Service Central Office led in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Procurement Service - PhilGEPS aims to provide excellent customer service to attain optimum customer satisfaction by ensuring efficient, responsive, economical, prudent and professional service to clients and other stakeholders.

The Procurement Service is mandated for the operation of a government-wide procurement system established through LOI No. 755 and existing under EO 285 and 395.

The office’s clients are the local government units, national government agencies, state universities and colleges, and government owned and controlled corporations and their subsidiaries.

Their products include common office supplies, devices, equipment, janitorial supplies, electrical supplies and accessories, and Microsoft licenses.

The Procurement Service Depot of the province is jointly managed by the Dept. of Budget and Management - Procurement Service - PhilGEPS and the provincial government.

Its mission is to ensure that government clients acquire quality products at the best prices, at the right time - all the time.

The Provincial Government also received a check worth P2 Million representing income share of the provincial government for the year 2017 - 2018. (PR)
