“OVER the years, the Christmas tree and holiday decorations surrounding the hotel lobby have stood as a holiday beacon for families whose fond memories of Christmases past have been kept alive at Waterfront. From children marveling at the sight of festivity, families united over Merienda Cena, the smell of Bibingka and Puto Bumbong wafting in the air to nightly yuletide carols that herald the season, Waterfront becomes a holiday greeting card come to life,” said Bryan Yves Lasalas, the hotel’s general manager.

To mark the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year at Waterfront Davao, Christmas tunes filled the air and the hotel’s Christmas tree was unveiled.

Every year, Waterfront surprises its guests with a themed holiday tree and this year the look is Arabic in inspiration. Over 50 Moroccan lamps and matching ornaments deck the 15-foot Christmas tree at the lobby.

The general manger led the celebratory toast. Joining him were the hotel’s hardworking team with Jennifer Romero and Rosanna Unson; guests of honor, Ms. Regina Rosa Tecson, Officer-in-Charge of the City Tourism Operations Office, and more.

No celebration is complete without the holiday treats whipped up by the chef. Over the after-program cocktails, Chef Anthony “Nino” Ante gave everyone a peek of what to expect from the hotel’s spread for the holidays. The hotel-made season’s delights is something to look forward to.

How does the bold and bright theme manifest in the chef’s food? He said, “The spread will be brighter in presentation and flavors will be a mix of local flavors infused of Western ingredients.”

“While Christmas at Waterfront is as bold and bright as it can get, it is the warm hospitality that beckons guests to enjoy the comforts of the season where it truly feels like home,” said Lasalas.
