TWO men were killed after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a pick-up truck in Barangay Tapon, Dalaguete town on Friday night, Nov. 15, 2019.
Vicente Ceballos, 56, was driving his motorcycle with Marianito Gabato, 52. They were on their way to Barangay Pañas in the same town, when they encountered a pick-up truck driven by Rodel Yee around 8:30 p.m.
Police Staff Sergeant Leon Gesim, desk officer of the Dalaguete Police Station, said both vehicles were on the same lane when the accident happened.
Based on their investigation, Yee was driving to Santander town to catch a boat to Dumaguete City when he encountered Ceballos and Gabato on their motorcycle.
Both vehicles reportedly collided on the same lane, resulting to Gabato and Ceballos being thrown off from their motorcycle. Both died instantly.
Following the incident, Yee surrendered to authorities.
He is currently detained at the Dalaguete Police Station stockade.
Yee will be facing reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide. (BBT/JKV)
