FIVE persons were arrested by the Talisay City Police Station-Drug Enforcement Unit during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Libo, Barangay Mohon, Cebu City at 8:20 am Sunday, November 17, 2019.
The subject of the operation was Jerome Restauro, 30, of Barangay Mohon, Cebu City, and was identified as a street-level target.
Also arrested were Eddiardo Villaver, 47, Lauron Sanchez, Anecito Cañedo, 40, residents of Barangay Mohon and Raffy Primor, 21, of Sitio Kilawan, Barangay Tangke, Talisay City.
Police Major Gerald Ace Pelare, chief of the Talisay police, said in addition to receiving reports from concerned citizens, Resauro was also named as the source of drugs by some of the arrested suspects.
Police are still investigating whether or not the four other suspects were only customers of Restauro.
Police seized from their possession 13 small and a medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P5,000.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (FMD/JGS)
