Tell it to SunStar: On communion

By Chito Germino, Paknaan, Mandaue City

JO BIDEN was refused communion by a Roman Catholic Church, according to a recent Fox News item. In other words, he was excommunicated. Is this a valid act of the church?

Jesus said, “Do this in memory of me.” Those apostles and disciples of Jesus who personally associate with him and had memories of him are the only authorized persons to give communions.

After their deaths, their memory of Jesus cannot be transferred to or inherited by men who had not personally associated with Jesus.

Besides, in the book of Deuteronomy, God decreed that only men who descended from Aaron can qualify as priests.

The Catholic Church is not the church Jesus built. It is a fake church.

Therefore, whether Joe Biden was refused communion or not is of no consequence.

Any ritual of that church has no value to God. The true communion is total obedience to Jesus’ true teachings.
