A MAN, listed in the Directorate for Intelligence (DI) watch list, was arrested by the drug enforcement teams during a buy-bust operation on Saturday evening, November 16, 2019, at Panacan, Davao City with the recovery of around P80, 000 worth of suspected illegal drugs.
Buhangin Police Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the apprehension of the suspect identified as Jode Pacomio Mersula alias “Jojo Bulhog,” a street-level target, 30, laborer, and a resident of Purok 25-C, Malagamot, Panacan, Davao City at 11:30 p.m. of November 16.
The operation was conducted after a police officer posed as a poseur buyer and purchased from the suspect a small size square shaped transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The transaction happened in front of the warehouse of Industrial Carbon Technology Corporation in Malagamot Road, Panacan, Davao City.
After the deal, the officer identified himself and arrested the suspect. Also recovered from the suspect’s possession were three different sizes in small, medium, and large square shape transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.
It was also endorsed to the station a unit of Motorcycle Suzuki bearing temporary plate number 1101-0707087 with the key used for transportation together with the photocopy of Certificate of Registration and official receipt.
The police said confiscated drug items weigh more or less 6.72 grams with a street market value of around P80, 000 while the apprehended suspect, the buy-bust money, and the motorcycle is under the custody of this station for proper disposition.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of the Republic Act (9165) or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
