HAU student joins start-up national tilt

ANGELES CITY -- The start-up company of a university student here made it to a national competition.

Secuna, the startup company of AJ Dumanhug, a PSM in Cybersecurity student of Holy Angel University, was recently announced as a qualifier for the Top 20 Startups of the Techtonic Summit 2019.

Out of the more than 100 applications from the Philippines and Southeast Asia, Secuna battled against other startups at the Summit's Ring of Fire Pitching Competition on November 15-16, 2019 at SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig City.

Dubbed as the country's largest tech conference, "Techtonic Summit 2019" aims to inspire innovation and build a community across the region through an annual event showcasing a multitude of groundbreaking technologies from various industries and sectors. This year's conference is themed, "Festival of Innovation."

Dumanhug previously bagged the awards in the Capture the Flag (CTF) competition of Rootcon 2018 and 2019. He was also an invited delegate and presenter for Google and Facebook's BountyCon 2019 held at Singapore early this year.

Secuna is the first and only crowdsourced cybersecurity testing platform in the Philippines helping startups and small medium entrepreneurs by connecting them to vetted security researchers to find and fix security vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by cybercriminals.
