SERIOUSLY, I wish all of you a good week ahead! Mondays aren’t exactly always welcomed with open arms, as far as I am concerned. It really reminds how weekends can be short bittersweet endings to a previous few days of madness as well as a brief break from the incoming onslaught of “reality” ushered in by, you guessed it, Monday!
If you were born in my generation (if not, Googling is the key), you would definitely agree with all the lyrics of The Bangles’ Manic Monday. Really, I am amazed how people can express perfectly how you feel about certain things, and even put melody in so you can actually sing it!
I hope you started your day right yesterday! I hope you got enough sleep and had time to squeeze in some breakfast and coffee right before rushing off to start your day. Take a deep breath, inhale positivity as you exhale all negative feelings away. When you think about it, today is an opportunity to set things correctly for the entire week! Don’t start it with a frown on your face because that certainly won’t attract good vibes! Welcome the week hopeful and with a grateful heart, be positive to invite good vibes in your day!
We all should look forward to new beginnings even if we yearn to spend an extra hour (or more) lying in bed! After all, Mondays are often our most productive day of the week? This is because we have spent some time over the weekend bemoaning the fact that we have a lot to do today so we are, in a way, unconsciously (?) prepared to slay our to-do lists today! Right? We can do this! We can make the effort to put our best foot forward even when we think that Mondays suck!!! It just feels that way because we usually have a great weekend and Monday reminds us that it will end sooner than we expect. But we can do even better in the coming days even we need to get back to business and do adult stuff! We can do it!
If we achieve what we have set out to do today, wouldn’t that feel great? I am sure it will motivate us to continue getting things done the whole week! So chin up and do your best today! Mondays are the best days to set up a rocking week! Time to hustle!
