DSWD assists over 100 beneficiaries in 5th District

MORE than 100 constituents from the City of Himamaylan and municipalities of Isabela, La Castellana, Binalbagan, Moises Padilla, and Hinigaran received their cash payouts for medical assistance and burial assistance through the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD).

Most of the beneficiaries of medical assistance are Hemodialysis patients followed by cancer patients and those who sought aid for hospitalization payment.

Vice Chairperson for House Health Committee Congresswoman Arroyo said that the cash payouts would be a great help to cover for their needs, particularly for the growing number of patients suffering from kidney disease that need assistance.

“I am very blessed to be in this position where I can help the people in my district particularly those who are in need of medical assistance, which is a top priority for me”, Arroyo said.

The legislator also assured her constituents that she is committed in bringing progress to the 5th District through different programs.

“This is only just the beginning, and I am working hard to bring more programs to health, education, infrastructure and livelihood for our district that will benefit our people” Arroyo ended.

A total of P5 million has been allotted to the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) by Congresswoman Arroyo as part of her social service projects covering the months of October to December 2019. (PR)
