District Governor visits Rotary Club of Bacolod – East

THE officers and members of the Rotary Club (RC) of Bacolod - East and the rotary exchange students from Spain and Germany honored the presence of Rotary International District 3850 governor Leonardo Raphael “Raffy” Tayco, Jr. and his spouse Lady Nikki Rose Tayco.

The district governor was assisted by assistant governor Mate Espina and were warmly greeted to a cozy dinner at Kucina Maria in Bacolod City on November 19.

The visit is part of the Governor’s duty to see for himself the different Rotary Clubs under his domain.

RC Bacolod - East president Marinette Torrejon and her club officers and members expressed their gratitude to the governor for visiting the club.

The visit was friendly and helpful to the club.

Governor Tayco also expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality given to them as a Rotarian couple.

He was confident that the RCBE under president Torrejon and with the support and cooperation of everyone, this will become a banner and champion Rotary year for the easterners.

President Torrejon, on the other hand, delivered his president’s report during the governor’s visit, updating the top official about the various affairs and projects undertaken including those that are already in the pipeline.

Lady Nikki Rose also disclosed that the Rotary District Conference will be held at Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Boracay, Malay, Aklan on May 7-9, 2020.

“We want every Rotarian to experience the new Boracay by attending our DISCON next year,” she said.
