DEFENDING champion Unit 6, bannered mostly by Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) players, barged into the secondary boys football semifinals of the Davao City Athletic Association (Dcaa) Meet 2019 after sweeping all its three games in the eliminations held at Tionko field.
Unit 6 blanked Unit 2, 6-0, after thrashing Unit 1, bannered by Davao City National High School booters (9-0) and Unit 3 (8-0), composed of Crossing Bayabas National High School players.
Unit 6, thus, arranged a semifinals showdown with 2018 runner-up Philippine College of Technology (PCT)-bannered Unit 7 at 7 a.m. today.
It can be recalled that both teams also battled for the Dcaa Meet 2018 title. Yet, Unit 6 prevailed by eking out a 1-0 win over Unit 7 courtesy of Jasper Rex Lim's winning goal.
Lim, who made four goals for Unit 6 against Unit 3 in the first game, however, only played in the second halves of the second and third games. His mother said he has been having fever since Sunday. (MLSA)
