ANG award-winning investigative program nga Reporter’s Notebook, diin host sila Maki Pulido ug Jun Veneracion, nagsaulog sa ika-15 ka tuig sa Philippine television.

Ni Maki nga sa ilang anniversary special, maghisgot sila og isyu nga sagad giatubang sa mga Pinoy.

“We’re going to discuss current issues na malapit sa sikmura. And we need to compare it with Southeast Asian neighbors. Nakausad nga tayo before, pero nakaungos na nang kaunti ‘yung iba. And then we have to discuss why. So for the 15th anniversary, we’re going to discuss issues with international comparison.”

Kagahapon, Nobyembre 21, gi-ere sa Reporter’s Notebook ang unang installment sa ilang four-part anniversary special “Crossing Borders”.

Ang Pinas kanhi gitawag nga “Next East Asian Tiger Economy”.

Kini sab ang unang nasud sa Southeast Asia nga may metro railway system.

Kanhi nailang rice exporter, ang Pilipinas may taas sab nga literacy rates sa Asya niadtong 1980s.

Samtang si Maki mobiyahe pa Thailang aron tutukan ang kasamtangang sitwasyon sa transportasyon didto.

Sa nakalabay nga 15 ka tuig, ang Reporter’s Notebook nakabalita na sa mga nag-unang isyu nga angay tutukan.

“We discuss a lot of issues of social importance. Importante na lengthily. Para talagang nadi-discuss nang mahaba-haba. And in the process I’m hoping na may makapanood, may magising, may maging aware. Because for me, when the people are informed on every aspect ng social issues, then you have an empowered population,” ni Maki.
