A MALE teenager was arrested in follow-up operation conducted by operatives of Police Station 3 after he allegedly raped the 19-year old girl at Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City Wednesday evening.
Police Major Ruel Culanag, chief of Police Station 3, said yesterday the 19-year-old suspect, whose name is being withheld, was arrested in their house around 7:30 p.m.
Investigation showed the victim, name withheld, was having drinking session along with the suspect at Knytz Refreshment at Burgos Street on Wednesday.
After the victim got drunk, the suspect offered a ride to bring her home, but the suspect brought her at his house where she was molested, the police said.
Culanag said the victim managed to go home and when she was asked by her parents what happened to her she revealed that she was molested by the suspect.
He said the victim’s family sought the assistance of Police Station 5 and coordinated at station that led to the arrest the suspect.
He added the suspect is detained at station and facing rape charges.
