MisOr sends P2-M relief aid for quake victims

THE Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental delivered more than P2 million worth of relief goods for the victims of earthquakes in Digos City and Magsaysay, Davao del Sur on Wednesday, November 20.

Loaded via three dump trucks, the assistance consisting of 100 sacks of rice worth P125,000; 1,000 water containers with faucet worth P146,000; 200 makeshift tent worth P323,300; various medicines worth P1,350,155.44; 200 food packs worth P32,000; and 100 sacks filled with clothing worth P50,000 were turned over to the officials of the quake-stricken areas.

The relief goods will be given to the displaced families staying in five evacuation centers in Davao del Sur.

According to Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Cagas, there are a total of 101,000 individuals or around 60,000 families affected by the tremors.

Cagas also expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, particularly Governor Yevgeny Emano who hoped that the assistance given to Davao del Sur will help support the victims to rise from the devastation brought by the quake.
