‘R Love to Share Christmas’ ushers in Yuletide season

TO USHER the Yuletide season, three Christmas attractions were showcased yesterday at Robinson’s Place in Mandalagan, Bacolod City.

The R Love to Share Christmas light-up event comprises the simultaneous lighting of the Robinsons Place Bacolod Christmas tree attractions and “Suga sang Paskwa Parol” contest, gift sharing and launching of the Wish Upon a Star 2019.

A 35-feet tall Christmas tree adorned with Christmas balls and flowers, situated at the main atrium, a Filipino-themed Christmas tree set up at the west entrance of the mall and the parols created by the 17 persons deprived of liberty who are detained in the different Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMPs) in Negros Occidental situated at the City Walk were the three main Christmas attractions at the said mall.

The yearly staging of the “Suga sang Paskwa Parol contest” was organized by multi-media specialist Chona Villaluna-Gosiaoco on its 12 years now.

Bacolod City First Lady Elsa Leonardia, Provincial Tourism Operations Officer Christine Mansinares, Provincial Planning and Development officer Marlene Sanogal, Gosiaoco and BJMP officials joined Robinsons Place Operations Manager for Bacolod and Dumaguete Vanessa Angodung and Marketing Communications officer for Vismin Christine Tomas during the lighting ceremonies.

Mrs. Leonardia greets everyone well and hopes that 2020 will be better for all of us.

She thanked Robinsons for making the Christmas season of children happier and meaningful.

Robinsons cause for this season is to make its mall as an avenue for all to celebrate and create lasting memories with families and friends.

Meanwhile, the Day Care Center pupils at Purok Carvic were the Wish Upon a Star gift-giving beneficiaries.

This annual benefit activity is in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bacolod wherein they bring together kids of Suntown Camp Foundation, street children and children from selected indigenous communities of Negros Occidental through the help of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.
