GIVING back and becoming a vessel for other people to help those who are in need in times of calamities is not new for SunStar Davao. Helping out is what the company has always been doing ever since.
The 6.6-magnitude earthquake that hit some parts of Mindanao, last October 29, 2019, left thousands of families displaced. This pushed the company to initiate a call for donation using its social media platform to gather donations for the victims.
With the help of some responders, the company gathered enough funds to help a number of victims.
Last November 21, Thursday, the company went to Tribal Village, Bianga in Makilala, North Cotabato and personally distributed the gathered donated items.
About 150 families were given basic necessities such as food, clothing, bedding, and sanitary needs.
