Man ‘stabbed, hacked’ to death by relatives

A 58-YEAR-OLD man was allegedly stabbed and hacked to death by his relatives inside his residence at Strangers Paradise Village, Barangay San Jose, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 21.

The victim was identified as Lito Bawa-an.

Sipalay City Police Station identified the suspects as Jay-r Bacorna, 24, and Bonifacio Tabanao, 47, both residents of Sipalay City.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspects allegedly entered the house of the victim and suddenly hacked and stabbed him.

The victim sustained multiple wounds on the body which resulted to his immediate death, police said.

Recovered from the crime scene a kitchen knife measuring 13 inches long and a bolo measuring 20 inches long.

The suspects are in the custody of the police station.

Police said an investigation is still going on to determine the motive of killing.
