G-string jam up for Ibagiw Festival

A FASHION show highlighted Ibagiw Festival on Friday, November 22, by featuring street wear, formal wear, and avante garde collections to give the event a creative and theatrical theme.

The fashion show, “Jamming on a G-String,” was held at the Old Diplomat Hotel. The collections came from six designers led by Eros Goze, Julienne Paran, King George Bueno, Kristoffer and Laydeh Tabili, and Twinkle Ferraren. The band Paint Job gave a musical performance during the show.

The show is part of a nine-day festival that celebrates the creativity the of city recently declared as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (Unesco) creative city for crafts and folk art.

Models for the designers were Gabriela Ysabel Altomonte, Ayvs Oliver Calub, Elise Victoria Patricio, Giul Sanchez, Rhianna Amrou Treptor, Aeneas Altomonte, Handiong Kapuno, and Leandro Magtibay for Goze; CK Crockett, Rukaiya Dagian, Jane Valdez, Callum Al-Gelane, Michael James Tucker, and Genesis Villarama for Paran; Joseph Leo, Gil Christian Perez, Yurika Venturina Albaladejo and Irish Monkman for Bueno; Karylle Joyce Belmoro Centeno, Ashley Mae Gracilla, Jerico Alicay, Chris Devera for Tabili and Jasmine Isabel Cabrera, Katrina Andrea Magalong, Aimee Tamayo, and Francis Siapno Lopez for Laydeh Tabili; Sophia Franchesca Cacho, Lj Fidel, Mica Quimson, Lois Reduca, CryzJosh De Castro, and Jake Habla for Ferraren.

the actors included Angelica Guia, Kristel Mina, Danica Tarroquin, Bert Danao Cabus, and Parminder Cudail, who were styled by Jerome Bagni and Karu Villanueva.

Baguio City is part of 64 cities from 44 countries that have been designated as (Unesco) Creative Cities by with the objective of fostering innovations and creativity as key drivers for a more sustainable and inclusive urban development with the November festival as the highlight for this year.
