SIBLINGS Arthur John (AJ) and Dianne Galendez finished first and third, respectively, in the Datba Weekly Tournament held Tuesday evening, November 19, at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
AJ, with a handicap of 13, rolled a total of 616 pins after three games to beat optometrist Billy Magdale (24) and two-time SM Millionaire’s Cup champion Dianne (14) who grabbed the next two spots.
Magdale hit 612 pinfalls while Dianne was only one-point shy with 611 in the 15-player tournament that serves as qualifying event for the monthly finals.
The winners received cash prizes.
Meanwhile, games were ongoing in another tournament being held at the same venue as of presstime yesterday, November 23.
The event is organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association under its president Rameses Tancontian. (MLSA)
