CAMPUESTOHAN Highland Resort, once regarded as perfect TAN or the "Tourist Attraction in Negros" has evolved into a bustling tourism landmark in Western Visayas.

It has continuously kept its crown as the first theme park in Negros Occidental to earn a 4-star classification in the region, distinctly conceptualized and established by known game-changer Ricardo "Cano" Tan and family in 2009.

This Christmas season, the management accentuates on the resort's full features with its distinctive and grandest Christmas village, cool and foggy ambience, nature-filled spots, gigantic Santa Kong, dinosaurs, mammoth, wave pools, aerial rides, rope course, rainbow slides and the various panoramic and picturesque sights that make the resort a tourist destination to behold.

The resort perches well at Sitio Campuestohan, Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City.

Its Christmas village starred the 43-feet Santa Kong with his headphones on and the artificial snowflakes that make the experience of tourists entirely unique.

People have more sights to enjoy, equaled with a perfect and cozy sceneries that are truly Instagrammable and are stimulating to the cybercitizens.

Who can imagine an abandoned grassland and a dead place which once lacks access to electricity, cemented roads, public and private conveyance, among others were turned into a vibrant tourist destination in Western Visayas?

Its founder Cano "Gwapo" Tan has once said, the place has its many firsts such as water parks, wave pools, foam bath, dinosaur parks, sky bike, zip line, the Chinese and fruity snowman at the Christmas village, the log house and many more.

Many people who set foot in the place said, "Gwapo kayo."

Families and friends can have a promising jaunts to admire.

The Christmas village with the huge Santa Kong, (King Kong dressed like Santa Claus), as its backdrop makes the experience completely merrier and world-class.

The Campuestohan Highland Resort is considered as a pride of Negros, being a top tourist destination in Western Visayas.

Tan once said, “We promise nothing but excellent service and nature-filled experience."

The founder has initially planned to put up a vacation home in the area and not a resort after it was offered to them in 2009.

Despite the discouragement from their own family and friends who considered it a “dead place,” still, they took the courage to develop the place in 2011.

“I told them to watch out because we will build a tourism landmark out of the grassland of Campuestohan," Tan has once said.

Presently, tourists can enjoy a Christmas feel with the Christmas Village and the long-playing of the Christmas songs.

CHR considerably propels the inflow of tourists in the province.

It is economical for family outings, celebrations, and the gathering of friends.

Travelers and tourists can always come to CHR given its minimal admission expense.

The rise of CHR is an outcome of the hard work and business acumen of its builder.

He once said that "whatever we earn, we plow it back to infuse more developments and expansions. That is our method of boosting CHR."
