DESPITE his busy schedules, Bacoleño television actor Migo Adecer took time to share kindness and spur inspiration to the children under the custody of the Social Development Center (SDC) in Bacolod City.

On Friday afternoon, Adecer joined 38 children in conflict with the law in the fellowship program organized by students of Teacher's Education Department of Bacolod City College.

Adecer shared to the children that it was hard for him especially when he moved to the Philippines, leaving with himself in the country.

"Not leaving with my family, I have been a master of my decisions. I'll be honest, I did not make the right decisions and choices," the Kapuso actor said.

He stressed that "but it does not mean that is how my life should be forever. After life has put me down, I made sure to stand up. Even if I fail again, I would still stand up."

Adecer emphasized that prayer has given him the strength to stand up.

"You are life will not gonna be better unless you want it, unless you ask for it."

Recalling the incident in March this year when he was arrested due to a road mishap, the actor said that moment made him realized to start making the right decisions always.

He told the children that they do not need to experience the same to wake up and make the right decisions.

After the sharing, Adecer led the distribution of food to the children at the center.

Born in Barangay Mansilingan, the actor is a 100 percent Filipino but grew up in Sydney, Australia.

Youngest of the four siblings, his mother, Kaye Dreyfus is from Bacolod, while his father, Dennis Adecer has roots in Cagayan.

He won as the Ultimate Male Survivor of StarStruck Season 6, an "artista" search on television of GMA–7 Network in 2015.

Prior to his StarStruck journey, Adecer has already been into gift-giving activities for the street children of his hometown.

Adecer said ever since he wanted to help but he got busy so he was not able to really put his time to it.

But finally, through his aunt, he was able to be part of the activity at the SDC.

"I am just happy to see that the kids are here because they are not forced to but because they actually want to hear something. I saw everybody smiling and we are nearing Christmas so that it should be." he said.

For SDC head Rose Rubrico, the Bacoleño actor is an inspiration to the children under their care.

Rubrico said it was the first time that a celebrity has visited the center and took time to share some kindness to the kids.

"It was a big thing for us, for the children," she said, as they thanked Adecer for bringing an early Christmas joy to the kids.
