ZAMBOANGA continues to load up on talent in their bid to make some more noise in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Season as they acquired former University of the Philippines Fighting Maroon guard Jun Manzo.
With a 13-10 record, Zamboanga is clinging to the eighth spot in the South division, just ahead of Cebu-Casino Ethyl Alcohol. Manzo’s arrival is expected to bolster an already-loaded roster that features the likes of former UAAP Mythical Five member Alvin Pasaol and his former teammates with the University of the Visayas Green Lancers, Leonard Santillan.
Manzo is coming off a solid season with the Maroons where he averaged 8.38 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. However, UP faltered in the semifinal round and was ousted by the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers. (SunStar Cebu)
