THE Misamis Oriental Provincial Government on Monday, November 25, recognized 10 top real property taxpayers (RPT) in the province.
As of 3rd quarter this year, FDC Misamis Power Corporation is the top RPT taxpayer paying P59 million; followed by Minergy Power Corporation with P40 million; Holcim Philippines with P24 million; Moresco 1 with P12 million; and Coca Cola with P9 million.
The 6th top taxpayer is Steag State Power which paid P6 million; followed by Indorama Ventures at P3 million; and Axelum and Nutrimax with P2 million each.
FDC Misamis Power Corp. president and chief executive officer Johnny Roxas assured the provincial government that they will continue to pay the correct taxes on time
Roxas said this is the second time that FDC was recognized as the top taxpayer since it started its operation in 2016.
FDC is a power plant corporation supplying electricity not only in Misamis Oriental but to other parts of Mindanao as well.
Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Bambi Emano lauded the top 10 companies for paying their taxes religiously.
"The more taxes we collect, the more projects that we can deliver to people also and I assure all the companies that your taxes are in safe hands," Emano said.
"I'm in my last term now, until today, we do not have a single case filed under my administration because we unsure transparency is the utmost priority of the province," he added.
