“I think it is high time that we should provide them free school supplies in addition also to our free school uniforms and even shoes because we have noticed that there were many children of school age that were not able to go to elementary schools because of poverty, especially from the depressed areas,” paghulagway ni Labella.
Ang mayor nipasabot nga P350 milyones niini gigahin para sa school supplies ug uniporme apil na ang sapatos nga nalatid sa Section 7 (Budget Appropriation) sa City Ordinance No. 2543.
Ang P150 milyones maoy gitagana para sa feeding program sa di mominos 190,000 ka mga tinun-an sa public elementary.
“Because of our concern of the welfare of our pupils in the elementary school, the Executive has proposed to the legislative P500 million budget for the appropriation for our education,” dugang sa mayor.
