A 21-YEAR-OLD man was declared dead on arrival in a hospital after he was stabbed by a 78-year-old man inside a Jesus Miracle Crusade Ministry Church in Purok 1, Barangay Sisimon around 8 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019.
The victim was identified as Dennis Gubaton Nudaton, a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Sisimon, Laak, Compostela Valley.
According to a police report, the victim was inside the church as he was a member of the church choir.
The suspect, identified as Macario Burdios Tano, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Sisimon, suddenly arrived and without a word stabbed the victim in the different parts of his body.
Nudaton was rushed by his relatives to the ComVal Provincial Hospital in Laak in the hopes that he will still be saved. But he was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
The suspect was immediately arrested by responding barangay tanod and was forwarded to the Laak Municipal Police Station together with the confiscated .38 revolver still containing six bullets.
