VLOGGERS and bloggers are undeniably making waves in capturing the interests of the cyber community, citing its vast reach advanced by the marvels of technology.
Recently, a group of the Negrense Bloggers has recognized the undertakings and endeavors of individuals who penned articles and stories about food, travel, parenting, beauty and fashion, lifestyle, business and technology, among others.
Eduardo Joven, president of the Negrense Blogging Society Inc., said their group intends to promote the local scenes and flavors that have significantly altered the Negrenses' way of life. This was one of the objectives of the 2019 Negrense Blog awards.
"We also would want Bacolod and the island of Negros to be recognized as a premier food destination," Joven said.
This year's theme is "Manamit," meaning delicious in Ilonggo, as it tries to promote food as one of the major industries in Negros.
"You may think that food is just something we consume to nourish our bodies, but it is so much more than that. Food is who we are. It influences our way of life, our traditions and even how we do things in our family," he said.
