Extra bonus for Capitol employees in the works

THE provincial government is now in the process of determining the basis for giving extra bonus to its employees this coming Christmas.

Board Member Rommel Debulgado, Chairman of the Committee on Finance, revealed on Tuesday, November 26, that Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado has already assured the availability of funds for the extra bonus of Capitol officials and employees which will be sourced from the savings on Personnel Services.

However, Debulgado said they are still determining the basis for giving such extra bonus.

"We have the awards which was received by the Human Resource Office and Organic Farming, but we are checking on its validity as basis for giving extra bonus," he revealed.

Debulgado also said that the possible amount of the extra bonus would depend on the governor, but he explained that the amount could be determined once the payroll for the month of December has been prepared.

"So we will wait until the December payroll has been determined," Salado added, revealing that the Proposed Provincial Budget may be approved Wednesday, November 28, during the session of the Provincial Board.

He said the budget hearings has been finished and that he will present it during the session Wednesday.

The proposed provincial budget for 2020 is P4,203,893,683 for the General Fund and P121 million for the Economic Enterprise Development Department.

Debulgado assured that the budget will be passed Wednesday.
