Samar governor passes away at 61

SAMAR Governor Milagrosa Tan died Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was 61.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Governor Milagrosa Tee Tan at 7:50 p.m. today,” wrote Samar Vice Governor Reynolds Michael Tan, the governor’s son, in a Facebook post.

The governor died after suffering from cardiac arrest at St. Luke’s Medical Center Inc. in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

She was with her four children before she passed away.

The family asked the public to pray for the eternal repose of her soul.

According to the family, the remains of the governor will be flown to Samar once weather conditions improve.

The wake and interment schedule will be announced in the coming days. (SunStar Philippines)
