DANNY Villafuerte continues to show promise, making quick work of Belmar Plaza on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, in the main event of “Bakbakan sa Kabankalan” at the Kabankalan Catholic College Gym in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental. Villafuerte knocked out Plaza in the second round of their scheduled six-rounder. Villafuerte is 4-0 with four knockouts, while Plaza dropped to 4-13-3 with two knockouts. In the undercard, John May Acope (1-0) beat Cebuano Norman Russiana (0-1), while Arvin John Sampaga (2-0) also won by unanimous decision over Cebuano Steve Noblefranca (1-3-1). (EKA)
