THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has placed the northern part of Negros Occidental under storm signal number 1.
Among the towns and cities identified by the weather bureau as under signal number 1 are Cadiz City, Calatrava, EB Magalona, Escalante City, Manapla, Sagay City, Silay City, Toboso and Victorias City.
The Philippine Coast Guard has automatically suspended sea trips in these areas.
The Provincial Government, meanwhile, had placed its personnel on Blue Alert since last week in accordance to the orders issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Based on the 11 a.m. Sunday weather bulletin, Tisoy was last spotted 705 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
