IT’S finally December and only few more sleeps to go before Christmas!

But before calendars were flipped to December, the city has been very busy with all the Christmas lightings by the leading tourism players and establishments here. Apart from the spectacular Pasko Fiesta happenings in Davao City Hall, here’s a list of holiday destinations you shouldn’t miss and the causes they raised making the merrymaking more meaningful.

Seda Abreeza Hotel

Davao’s urban lifestyle hotel bares a meaningful definition of Christmas when it lighted its Christmas tree last November as Seda Abreeza continues to support Smile Train and set initiatives to send aid to Mindanao earthquake victims.

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate.

This year, the hotel picked gifts as their symbolic decoration to show gratitude and recognition to guests and partners who has given them the gift of loyalty and patronage.

Marco Polo Hotel Davao

In time for its 21st anniversary, the hotel lit up the iconic building in their traditional Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the hotel façade. The hotel takes White Christmas as this year’s theme.

This year’s lighting ceremony was dedicated to the earthquake victims in Central Mindanao especially in the affected areas of North Cotabato.

General manager Colin Healy said they are opening the hotel as a channel for people who wants to share and help even in small ways.

Waterfront Insular Hotel-Davao

Colorful and dazzling Moroccan lamps and matching holiday ornaments all over its pine boughs leading to Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao’s 15-foot Christmas tree will welcome you when you enter the hotel lobby.

Making all things “Bold and Bright” for the holidays, the hotel also did not forget to make the holidays more meaningful by celebrating it with children with cancer. The hotel and its 12-year partner House of Hope Foundation had a fundraising gala titled “HOPE: The Heart of Christmas”. The event has one goal: raise funds for their constant treatment and help them live for many more Christmases to come.

Park Inn by Radisson Davao

Park Inn by Radisson Davao embraces the vibe of creating a Feel Good Christmas this year

Making the event more at home and meaningful was the presence of the SOS Children’s Village Davao. SOS Children’s Village Davao is a place for orphaned, abandoned, and neglected children where they can feel belonged to a home and family; and, where they are provided with unconditional love and support for them to take their place in society. As part of the Radisson Cares program, the hotel is sponsoring one of the children for its advocacy to extend feel good moments to the community.

Panorama Summit Hotel

Panorama Summit Hotel has officially lit up the spirit of festive season with its giant 30-feet tall Christmas tree.

The homegrown hotel is located at Tigatto Road, Buhangin, Davao City.
