MORE than P100,000 cash prizes are at stake for the winners in the Salon de Rose Christmas Tatluhan Chess Tournament on Dec. 7 to 8, 2019, at the Barracks Chess Club in Robinsons Galleria.
The organizers are expecting about 60 chess teams from Visayas and Mindanao for the three-day tournament, which is rated by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
Bohol’s Glicerio Pardillo Jr. and Norman Longjas will be back in Cebu after winning the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association. The champion team will go home with a P30,000 cash prize, while the second to fifth placers will win P20,000, P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000, respectively. (RSC)
