THE state weather bureau has lifted on Wednesday, December 4, all Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals as "Tisoy" (international name Kammuri), now a severe tropical storm, slightly weakens and moves west northwest over the West Philippine Sea.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Adminsitration (Pagasa) said, however, that moderate to rough seas may still prevail over the western seaboard of Central Luzon and the southern seaboard of Southern Luzon.
Earlier, Pagasa reported in its 5 a.m. advisory that Tisoy has weakened from a typhoon into a severe tropical storm.
As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, the weather bureau said the center of Severe Tropical Storm Tisoy was located at 290 kilometers west southwest of Subic, Zambales, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 95 kilometers per hour (km/h) near the center and gusts up to 115 km/h.
It said Tisoy continues to move west northwest at 15 km/h and is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, December 5, and is expected to continuously weaken due to the Northeast Monsoon. (EZN/SunStar Philippines)
