AIMED to be among the next top swimmers in the country to don the national colors in future international competitions, Victorias City-hailed tankers displayed their full-potentials when they dominated the just-concluded 3rd Sinadya Swim Meet held at Roxas City, Capiz.

Troy Castor, who was named as the “most outstanding swimmer for ages 11-12 boy”, ruled the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly, and 200m individual medley while finished silver medal in the 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.

Meanwhile, Chloe Villarino, named as the “most outstanding swimmer for ages for 9-10 girls, won the gold medals in the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly, and 50m backstroke; silver medal in the 50m breaststroke and 100m backstroke; and a bronze medal for the 50m butterfly.

Zyra Villarino, on the other hand, captured the gold medals in the 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly gold, 100m freestyle, and 100m backstroke; and a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke.

For swimming coach Cris Bancal, with proper training and exposures, these swimmers will be the future not only of Negros Occidental swimming but of the country. “We have lots of potential swimmers in the province. With the right program and government support, we can develop more Troy and Chloe from the grassroots,” he added.
