Gilas Pilipinas routs Singapore in SEAG men's basketball

THE Gilas Pilipinas put on a show in front of its adoring home fans as they thwarted Singapore by a whopping 52 points, 110-58, in the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

Troy Rosario had 15 points to lead the way for the all-PBA squad. Stanley Pringle and Vic Manuel added 14 points each, the former adding five assists. Matthew Wright fired in 13.

Cebuano big man June Mar Fajardo also showed off against the inexperienced Singapore frontline, scoring 12 points, grabbing six rebounds and issuing two assists in just 17 minutes of action to spark the country’s bid for a 13th straight gold medal in the men’s basketball competition.

The Gilas next take on Vietnam on Friday before facing off against Myanmar on Saturday. (SunStar Cebu)
