CLARK FREEPORT -- Two upscale hotels here have jointly ushered in the holiday season by lighting up a towering 45-feet tall Christmas tree.
Titled "Parul Kapampangan," Widus Hotel and Casino and Clark Marriott Hotel, lit up the tall Christmas tree embellished with Kapampangan-made parul (Christmas lanterns) which stood at the two hotel's epicenter.
The Christmas tree was draped with lanterns made of capiz retaining pearlescent color contrasted against vibrant lights of warm hues. The holiday tree also pays homage to Pampanga that is home to the country's Christmas Capital.
Widus Group Director NekiLiwanag together with Widus Hotel and Clark Marriott Hotel General Managers, Tarek Aouini and Goeran Soelter respectively, led the occasion.
Aouini and Soelter said in their welcome speech that they are grateful to corporate clients, guests, and associates for the partnership that yielded profitable harvest in 2019.
Soelter reminisced the past 14 months of Clark Marriott as the first five-star hotel north of Manila.
"The Marriott Business Council in the Philippines was set up this year and one of the main focus was to raise funds for the less fortunate the hotel and its associates contributed year to date 2,401 hours and a total of P403,290.22 to support various corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects locally and within the country," Soelter said.
Aouini thanked guests for their continued patronage and invited them to experience their signature holiday offerings.
