YYBC and the 99ers claimed victories in the 30-above category of the Amicis Basketball League at the Consolacion covered court on Sunday night, Dec. 1, 2019.
YYBC edged Alfa Compound, 72-66, thanks to the stellar performances of Iyong Gicole who had 21 points, eight assists and five rebounds and KD Cabajes who had 20 points and nine dimes.
Jared Maglasang also helped out with his 14 points.
YYBC took control of the ballgame in the second canto where they outscored their opponents, 25-11, to take a 36-20 lead.
The loss spoiled the double-double performance of Armean Noar who had 29 points and 14 rebounds.
In the other game, the 99ers nipped the Rizal Micro, 79-74.
Rory Paspie flirted with a triple-double as he had 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Mark Sanchez chipped in 17 points and eight dimes.
Malcolm Sanchez and Rey Judilla also scored in double-figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Rizal Micro got 19 points from Melborn Tadiosa and 18 from Jonathan Ancajas. (JNP)
