P30,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Barangay 3

AN ESTIMATED P30,000 worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 2 at Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, Bacolod City Wednesday evening, December 4.

The operation also led to the arrest of Moises Cuadra, 18, of Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.

Police Major Sherlock Gabana, chief of Police Station 2, said Cuadra sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at about 10 p.m.

Police recovered from Cuadra’s possession 16 sachets of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money, coin purse, and P950 proceeds money.

Gabana said the suspect was identified as street level target in the area of Police Station 2 and was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
