THIRD District Representative Jode Francisco Benitez is hoping that the Barangay (Village) and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) or Youth Council elections would be regularized after year 2022.
“They deserve full term,” Benitez said when asked for his reaction about the postponement of the Barangay and SK elections.
The barangay and SK elections has been moved to December 5, 2022.
Duterte signed into law the bill postponing the elections in a special ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, in Malacañang. It is now Republic Act Number 1146
The Barangay and SK elections had been postponed twice – first from October 2016 to October 2017, then from October 2017 to May 2018. (TDE)
