Red Cross Million volunteer run 5 set

IT'S all set for the fifth staging of the Million Volunteer Run on December 8 spearheaded by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Baguio City Chapter.

The Million Volunteer Run 5 is a humanitarian run, which is non-competitive aims to raise funds for the capacity building of the organization.

Runners can join the three-, five- and 10-kilometer run with registration fee of P700 which fires off starting 4:30 a.m.

Participants will each receive a singlet, race bib, and a runner's card with their names posted on the Red Cross website.

In the weekly Kapihan sa Baguio, Red Cross Baguio administrator Annie Tamayo is inviting the public to support the activity, which will help support the services provided by the Red Cross for those in need.

"This activity is not only a family affair but is a way for the Red Cross to gather the much needed support for the continuous services we provide for the public which is why we encourage everyone to join us in this worthwhile endeavor," Tamayo said.

Interested runners may register with race director Che Alberto (cellphone 09177450378) at Laperal Building, Session Road, Baguio City or at the Baguio Red Cross office located along Harrison Road.
