Captain Maribeth Ramoga, Talisayan police chief said the burial was set up by the local government unit at the town's public cemetery on Monday, December 9.

Ramoga still urged anyone with a missing relative to visit the police station.

The suspect, Lloyd Bagtong, beheaded the woman then ate her brain.

On Saturday, Bagtong was killed after he allegedly tried to grab a police officer's firearm on their way back to Talisayan Police Station from an inquest proceeding in Cagayan de Oro City.
